Scorpio protects the Obsidian Veil, a network of moonlit temples built above the sealed entrances to forgotten places. His people study secrets not to possess them, but to recognize dangers other kingdoms prefer to erase. That work makes Scorpio essential and perpetually mistrusted.
Shadow without corruption
He can step between shadows, sense lies through changes in a person's reflection, and bind a dangerous secret so it cannot be spoken. Using these gifts requires proximity to the darkness he contains. Scorpio's weakness is isolation: when he fears a truth will harm others, he carries it alone until secrecy begins to resemble deception.
Place in the Zodiac War
Scorpio identifies the mark of the Thirteenth Gate and travels beneath his own capital to find its origin. He knows more about the forgotten king than he admits.
